After watching the video "No Place to Hide", you have an idea of the myriad of programs used to gather information for both the private and public sector. In the past several years, news reports have disclosed the existence of government surveillance programs, specifically run by the NSA, to stop the activities of potential terrorists. "Leakers" of these government secrets such as Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden have defended their actions by saying they are looking out for individual American liberties.

Some Android and IPhone apps can leak out your personal information and it's creepy. They can know your sexuality, gender, age, etc. It's weird because that information is personal and therefore, no one's business.

I don't think gender and age is really a secret. i wouldn't mind people knowing. It's not really gonna do anything to affect you anyway.

understand why this NSA program is in place, but they truly have gone to far.. I believe that they are only protecting a little bit and snooping a lot a bit.. I cant believe anything our government says because they've lied to use so many times, so just because you say that you promise, doesn't make it true. They are using this program against us..

it is too far to pay spies to play video games to "find terrorists" how would the gov. know if the talks on there are real or sarcastic and how would they get to everyone

The xkeyscore is a program that basically collects every bit of information it can from everything on the internet. It gives low level officials in the NSA the ability to wiretap and spy on anyone in the USA. When questioned by the senate about this program, the director lied to them (which is a felony) and was not prosecuted and did not lose his job. This must make Americans think why are we treating Snowden as a whistle blower when we have domestic officials braking the law and getting away with it? Was Snowden a whistle blower or just a concerned citizen looking to expose the truth?

After reading about the NSA collecting Verizon data, I think that the program is protecting US citizens because although they have access to cell phone records, the contents of any conversation are not covered. By looking at the people involved and the duration of the call they are able to find what they are potentially looking for and no harm is done to the innocent

i think that the NSA is just ding their job. first off, if it wasnt for programs that help keep away terrorist attacks there would be way more occurrences of it. Also i think that if you have nothing to hide then you shouldn't really care if they look through your stuff. If there is something you dont want them to know then dont give out that information in the first place.

Well, i think that the government should spy on people playing a simple game that people play to relax and have fun on. Because i like it when the government wastes their time on ridiculous things such as spying on gamers.

We are watching you chester The NSA should not be using games to spy on people. Using these game worlds is not a good way to stop terrorists. If there is terrorists on the game, there is no way the NSA will find them because they will act like an everyday person. Unless they know the person in real life, I doubt the terrorists are going to share information with random people in the game.

I think that spying on people in a video game such as WoW or even Call of Duty games is not a very accurate way to see who is a terrorist or not. Gamer's can get violent in a game and act stupid and call threats but that doesn't mean that they mean anything by what they are saying. They could be talking to one of their friends or they just get way too far into the game.

You never have any privacy, especially when you are working with any thing with the government.

the gov. has a right to know who is in america if we just focused on america and who was here then it would be fine. they have a right to know your name and gender that isn't personal.

I think that the government should not be spying on people playing a simple game to relax and have fun. I also feel like it is taking some of the individual rights away by just watching these people and not respecting their privacy. Its not even worth it because no one has ever been caught.

Reading the article of NSA Spying on Congress made me realize that you have no privacy what so ever. Even if you are working for the government. Jane Harman was only invaded of her privacy because they put allegations on her and targeted her phone calls. Whether or not you work for the government, someone somewhere is listening into your conversations.

I think the NSA has not out stepped their bounds by creating some of theses programs because the patriot act told them to start collecting data. So why should the Gov't agencies get in trouble for doing their job.

The NSA is talking a lot of information from verizon users but why only verizon, and not others? Also why were they given permission to do this?

I don't think spying on a game is really accurate because you can't really tell if they're serious about a threat or comment, or if they're just getting upset at something the person said.

NSA is taking information such as current location, age, gender, zip code, marital status, income, ethnicity, sexual orientation, education level, and number of children and more from the app angry birds. I think some of the information leaked isn't that big of a deal but others such as current location is crossing a line.

I don't think it should matter whether they spy on us or not. If you have nothing to hide what's the big deal. If its not important to them then it stops there. Your secrets arent going to spread throughout the world

I find it ironic that not only the NSA is watching everyday people but government high ups too. I think it's funny that they thought they were above the NSA. Also, the NSA is suppose to get what they're going to spy on approved by the courts.

I think spies playing video games is pointless. How would you know the difference between frustration and a real threat? I think they are taking the whole terrorist thing is going too far.
